Come “Patch Tuesday” and a long list of new vulnerabilities and patches are announced by Microsoft and this month's Whack-a-Mole begins for Windows administrators. In terms of fun, applying system updates ranks up there with filing your tax returns. According to press releases and news hype you're encouraged to get the job done as quickly as possible since doomsday otherwise is certain.

Applying latest Microsoft product updates can be done using the Windows Server Update Service (WSUS). If you have configured the Windows Update feature on computers in your network to use WSUS, then missing patch issues detected by the Panorama9 Patch Management system will be based on the updates you've approved using the WSUS management tool.

Using Microsoft WSUS together with Panorama9 gives you complete and detailed control over which Microsoft updates are to be deployed throughout your IT environment.

The Panorama9 Patch system will install missing updates and validate the outcome. Failed updates or missing reboots will result in an issue directly visible in the Panorama9 Dashboard or submitted to you using any of our supported notification channels. Devices that for some reason doesn't communicate correctly with WSUS are also spotted and reported.
